Description/Job Summary

The Senior Credit Analyst develops and analyzes all types of credit information; prepares complete loan packages independently for mid-size to large loans, including projections and analyses and makes the appropriate recommendations; prepares and helps loan officers gain information on larger and more complex loan packages; provides assistance to loan officers and/or the credit administrator as requested.

Responsibilities/Duties

Essential job functions include, but are not limited to:
  • Obtains and assembles credit information on loans originated by branch office loan officers.
  • Processes and prepares underwriting analysis for authorized credit personnel to make credit decisions.
  • Inputs information into Credit Delivery.
  • Prepares loan closing documents.
  • Maintains and makes recommendations on loan underwriting standards and procedures.
  • Studies and researches the economic lending environment and the industries financed by the Association.
  • Participates in the Association's marketing efforts to promote growth and development.

Required Experience


Education:
  • Education equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or Economics is REQUIRED.
Experience:
  • 6 - 8 years of credit analysis work experience is REQUIRED.
Skills:
  • Ability to assume responsibility with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to regularly exercise discretion and independent judgment.
  • Self-starter with ability to be assertive and arrive at sound business decisions.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and creative skills.
  • Strong knowledge of computers and related software.
  • Knowledge of operations and appraisals is preferred.
